One of Sequoia's most popular coaches and PE instructors. Head coach of 1943 Cherokee PAL football champions. Coached many individual champions in wrestling, swimming and diving. Diving coach at Stanford University from 1963-'72 and member, Diving Coaches Hall of Fame. Operated Clyde Devine Swimming School in San Carlos for many years. Won All-Pacific Coast football honors as a center at Oregon State, and served as an official in the American Football League.
