Hall of Fame Coach Len Casanova frequently cited Bob Taylor and fellow Hall of Famer Gail Sterling as the best tackles he had at Sequoia. Taylor played four seasons from 1933-36. He was part of the 1935 league co-champion team and was named all-league after his final two seasons. He captained the 1936 Sequoia varsity. At USF, he started at tackle on the freshman team and earned a varsity starter’s role as a sophomore. His college career was cut short after two years with an injury.
